As an NZ yacht delivery company, we delivered this Fountaine Pajot Tanna 47 from New Zealand to Fiji.
The Tanna 47 is a modern cruising catamaran with a practical layout for offshore deliveries. The large cockpit and storage areas make it easy to organise provisions, spare parts and delivery equipment, while access to the machinery spaces is good for routine inspections underway.
Before departure we completed a full inspection of the vessel and loaded provisions for the passage to Fiji. We also spent some time organising equipment onboard and carrying out a few minor housekeeping jobs before leaving the marina. Fuel and water tanks were topped up and a selection of filters and consumable service items were carried as spares.
Once underway with a clear weather forecast the delivery settled into a normal routine. Daily engine checks, cleaning and general vessel management occupied most of the day-to-day workload. We periodically washed salt from the cockpit and helm areas and spent time preparing the yacht for arrival as the passage progressed.
The Fountaine Pajot Tanna 47 arrived in Fiji and was prepared for handover before being transferred to its receiving party. Deliveries between New Zealand and other cruising destinations are a regular part of our work with modern cruising catamarans and offshore yachts.
