The Dufour 56 is a fast and capable cruising yacht with a layout well suited to long offshore passages. The boat covered the miles comfortably on the passage north and proved to be an enjoyable yacht to sail and very similar to the other Dufour we delivered.
The route from Auckland to Fiji is a classic South Pacific crossing and one we have completed many times as professional yacht delivery skippers. Careful weather planning and departure timing are key factors on this passage, particularly when leaving New Zealand and heading into the tropics.
