FPB 64 Delivery from the Philippines to Fiji

We collected this FPB 64 in the Philippines for a delivery to NZ, covering a route that traverses a large section of the Pacific Ocean and requires careful consideration of weather patterns, fuel planning and seasonal timing.

Having delivered several FPB vessels over the years, including a 25-metre Circa Marine-built yacht, we were already familiar with the design philosophy behind these expedition yachts. The FPB 64 was conceived specifically for long-distance passagemaking, with efficiency, range and offshore reliability taking priority over many of the features found on conventional motor yachts.

Pacific deliveries of this nature are often shaped by the weather systems and trade wind patterns present at the time of year. Unlike shorter coastal relocations, routing decisions can have consequences hundreds of miles later, making ongoing forecast analysis an important part of daily operations.

The FPB 64 performed exactly as expected throughout the voyage. The design’s emphasis on offshore capability, fuel efficiency and practical systems management makes it particularly well suited to routes linking major cruising regions across the Pacific.

Arrival in Opua completed another successful expedition yacht delivery and added another significant offshore passage to our experience with the FPB range. For owners considering long-distance cruising, the route from the Philippines to Fiji is the type of voyage these vessels were designed to undertake.
