FPB 64 Delivery from New Zealand to Asia

This FPB 64 was relocated from New Zealand to Asia as part of an owner’s cruising plans in the region.

Prior to departure we completed our normal delivery preparation, including servicing checks, spare parts inventory and fuel planning for the offshore sections of the route. Although the vessel’s range provided flexibility, fuel stops and weather windows still played an important role in the overall passage plan.

We have delivered 3 FPBs some of them multiple times and also a Circa 25 meter so we are extremely familar with the circa yard.

The first stage out of New Zealand required some patience waiting for a suitable departure window. Once underway, conditions were generally favourable and the vessel settled into a straightforward offshore routine of watchkeeping, daily engine room inspections and weather monitoring.

As the delivery progressed into Southeast Asia, traffic density increased considerably compared with the open ocean sections of the passage. Commercial shipping, fishing activity and arrival formalities became the primary focus during the final stages of the voyage.

New Zealand to Asia remains a common relocation route for owners moving vessels between Pacific and Southeast Asian cruising grounds. Deliveries of this type are typically less about challenging sailing conditions and more about fuel management, weather timing and maintaining a vessel consistently over a long offshore passage.
