Oceanis 46

This very impressive Beneteau Oceanis 46 was delivered from Auckland to in time for the South Pacific cruising season.

Departing from Auckland at the start of the passage north is always an interesting time operationally, with large numbers of cruising yachts waiting for suitable weather windows to leave New Zealand and head into the islands. Timing departures correctly is important because the first few days northbound can still involve fairly unsettled conditions before reaching the more stable trade wind patterns further into the Pacific.

The Oceanis 46 handled the passage extremely well. Boats in this category are very popular throughout the South Pacific due to their balance of offshore capability, manageable sail handling, and comfortable cruising layouts for extended liveaboard use.

As conditions warmed further north, the trip settled into a much more typical Pacific offshore rhythm before arrival into Fiji for the beginning of the cruising season.

At Yacht Delivery Solutions, offshore yacht deliveries between New Zealand and the South Pacific islands form a regular part of our seasonal relocation operations as Oceanis become more popular.
