We are experienced Beneteau delivery skippers with extensive offshore experience handling performance sailing yachts throughout New Zealand and offshore.
The passage covered a substantial section of the South Pacific and benefited from favourable conditions, allowing for a relatively fast trip to French Polynesia. As with any offshore crossing from New Zealand, departure timing and weather routing played an important role in making the most of the available conditions.
Designed by Bruce Farr, the Beneteau First 44.7 is known for its sailing performance and responsive handling. The yacht covered the miles efficiently and proved well suited to offshore passagemaking on this route.
