This delivery involved relocating the yacht from Queensland to Opua in the Bay of Islands. As with any trans-Tasman passage, weather timing was the primary consideration, with departure planned around a suitable forecast window to allow a comfortable and efficient crossing.
The First 40 performed well throughout the voyage, maintaining good passage speeds while remaining comfortable offshore. After several days at sea, the yacht arrived safely in Opua ready for its next stage of cruising in New Zealand waters.
