We delivered this brand new Granocean W60Hong Kong to Oceania
As a Kiwi yacht delivery company, we delivered this brand new Granocean W60 from Hong Kong to Oceania.
Because this was a newly launched vessel, a significant part of the project involved commissioning and final preparation before departure. New boats often require a considerable amount of setup once they leave the factory, so we spent time working through onboard systems, checking equipment inventories and confirming that all documentation and manuals were onboard before getting underway.
The Granocean W60 provided good access to machinery spaces and systems, which made the commissioning process more straightforward. During the preparation period in Hong Kong we completed system checks, organised spare parts and consumables, and carried out a number of small adjustments that commonly arise during the handover phase of a new build.
Once the vessel was ready for sea, the delivery settled into a routine of regular inspections, cleaning and general vessel management. As with many new yachts, part of the ongoing process involved becoming familiar with the various onboard systems and confirming everything was operating as expected throughout the passage.
The Granocean W60 arrived and was prepared for handover before being transferred to the owner. Deliveries of newly launched yachts from Hong Kong and other Asian shipyards to New Zealand and destinations throughout Oceania form a regular part of our delivery work.
