This St Francis 50 was collected in New Zealand and delivered to Thailand for her new owner.
Before departure we spent a few days preparing the yacht for the passage, working through the usual checks and loading a selection of spare parts and consumables that are impossible to source once underway.
The St Francis 50 has built a strong reputation as a capable bluewater cruising catamaran and it was easy to see why during this delivery. Designed with long-distance cruising in mind, the boat carried her stores well and provided a comfortable platform for the offshore miles ahead.
The route from New Zealand to Thailand covers a large section of the Pacific and Southeast Asia, requiring careful planning around weather systems, seasonal conditions and international clearances along the way.
Delivering the yacht to her new owner in Thailand added another significant catamaran passage to our delivery experience throughout New Zealand, Asia and the South Pacific.
