With shorter daylight hours and fewer weather windows available, the delivery required a degree of patience before departing Opua and heading south.

The route from Opua to Nelson covers a significant section of the New Zealand coastline and requires careful planning, particularly during the winter months when conditions can change rapidly. Once a suitable opportunity presented itself, the yacht made steady progress south and was delivered safely to Nelson.
